Star Wine List of the Year Sweden 2025
Star Wine Lists will name the best wine lists in Sweden for the seventh time, in April 2025. At an event in Stockholm on 7 April, the finalists will gather to hear who has won a Gold Star in Star Wine List of the Year Sweden.

Judges
The jury panel for Star Wine List of the Year Sweden 2025 includes four top wine experts:
• Salvatore Castano – Best Sommelier of Europe & Africa, 2021 (ASI)
• Nina Jensen – Second-Best Sommelier of the World, 2019, 2023 (ASI)
• Kathrine Larsen-Robert – Master Sommelier
• Andreas Grube – wine writer, Stockholm Ambassador
Categories and criteria
The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not simple: vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
THE CATEGORIES
INTERNATIONAL CATEGORIES:
• Grand Prix
The best list of the overall competition.
• Best Long List, presented by Château Galoupet
For wine lists with more than 600 references.
• Best Medium-Sized List, presented by Dreissigacker
200-600 references.
• Best Short List
Fewer than 200 references.
• Best By the Glass List, presented by Riedel
• Best Sparkling Wine List, presented by Nyetimber
• Best Newcomer List
• Sustainable Wine List, presented by Oddbird
Recognises a wine list that has put extra emphasis on the wine program’s overall impact, including vine growing, winemaking, packaging and transport. Assessed via a questionnaire during the application process.
• Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine
• Best California Wine List, presented by Pahlmeyer
LOCAL CATEGORIES:
• Best German Wine List, presented by Wines of Germany
• Best Beaujolais Wine List, presented by Inter Beaujolais
• Best Swedish Wine List
The winners in the international categories will qualify for our International Final in June 2025, where they will face off with the category winners from other countries and continents.
